Dr. Chandra uses a warm, empathetic style to meet her clients where they are. She uses a combination of interpersonal and evidence based techniques to treat her clients. Dr. Chandra obtained her Psy.D. from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and graduated at the top of her class.
Her clinical focus centers on treating individuals across the lifespan who have faced adversity or trauma, specializing particularly in adults with a history of chronic childhood trauma (sexual, physical, emotional abuse or neglect).
She trained extensively in the treatment of PTSD, Complex PTSD and associated diagnoses, utilizing elements from various evidence based techniques such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Moreover, she completed her dissertation on the consequences of childhood abuse.
Beyond trauma care, Dr. Chandra offers comprehensive services for a diverse range of clients, including children and adults grappling with various mental health challenges. Her scope of practice extends to providing diagnostic assessments and psychological evaluations for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and more.
