Ashley LeGros, a Pre-licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor who is passionate about helping others gain perspective and navigate life’s challenges. She is originally from a small town in South Louisiana, however New Orleans has always been a second home. Ashley earned her Bachelor’s degree from LSU (Geaux Tigers!) in Psychology and Sociology, and after taking a break between degrees, earned her Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of New Orleans in 2022.

Ashley has experience working in a nonprofit setting, where she specialized in providing counseling services to adolescents dealing with substance use, anxiety, and various life stressors. She brings a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy, drawing on Adlerian, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Person-Centered Therapy, while also incorporating elements from other therapeutic modalities to tailor interventions to each individual’s unique needs.  She is especially passionate about working with older teens, helping them navigate the complexities of adolescence while exploring opportunities for personal growth. Her approach is rooted in creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can express themselves freely and explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. She believes in creating an open, relaxed space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. She enjoys incorporating lighthearted moments, such as sharing music or humor to help break down barriers and foster a sense of connection.

When Ashley is out of the office, she enjoys playing tourist in this great city, from walking City Park, trying new restaurants, to enjoying festivals. She enjoys being outside when it’s not incredibly hot, especially if she has a good book or a killer playlist. Her two rescue cats keep her entertained at home as well as providing comfort at the end of a stressful day.
