Rachel Barlev graduated from Kennesaw State University earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Masters of Clinical Social Work. During her time in Kennesaw, Rachel worked with a variety of populations from preteen to geriatric for a multitude of needs. She enjoys working with individuals, couples and families in the adolescent and adult population. Passionate about helping vulnerable individuals learn to understand themselves and how to be present in the moment comfortably is one of the traits about Rachel that her clients really appreciate. She enjoys helping individuals understand their emotional needs and obtain warmth and support to strive in their future.
Rachel’s specialties include Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Anxious Attachments, Codependency, Trauma, Body dysmorphia and Communication. Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT,) Person Centered approach, Solution-focused and Positive Psychology are among many techniques she uses and she is always learning and training to add more styles to her repertoire.
In Rachel’s free time she enjoys painting, hiking, trying out new restaurants and traveling to look for the next waterfall. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her favorite cat Luna. One of her favorite quotes is, “I must be a mermaid, I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.”
